School bag essentials

School life

Back to school season has come, and whether you have already started or are due to start school soon, there are some essential items I would recommend having in your bag:

HYGIENE/APPEARANCE ESSENTIALS

Sitting next to a classmate with bad hygiene is probably one of the worst things I can imagine happening in school, and you definitely don't want to be that classmate. It's always good to have a little hygiene bag where you keep everything.

To smell good, have things like deodorant, perfume and/or body spray, and gum or mints, since some schools may not allow gum.

For your hair, take a hairbrush (mini ones work well), extra hair ties and clips or pins. You can also take some gel and a comb if you normally use them.

If you normally wear makeup, having a separate bag for your makeup is quite useful for whenever you need to reapply. If you don't, it's always good to have lip balm and some sunscreen if it gets hot or if you burn easily.

I would also recommend having a mini mirror in your bag that you can pull out easily whenever you need.

STATIONARY ESSENTIALS

Everyone needs stationary in school right? Even if you have school devices, you are always going to need the essential stationary, and it's useful to have some extras to lend out if you need. Get a good sized pencil case (I like the ones with multiple pockets) to stock all your supplies.

You obviously need something to write with, so some pens will work. I would recommend having 3 or 4 if you ever lose or lend any. Get at least 3 or 4 pencils as well. Highlighters are also useful, so have at least 3 different coloured ones.

You need an eraser and a sharpener. I like having 2 of each just in case. Get a pair of scissors, 2 glue sticks and a 15 cm ruler (I like the ones that fold into a 3o cm ruler).

You might also need colouring pencils or colouring pens, but not all schools require them.

I would also recommend folders or binders if you have loose books and sheets, but that may not be practical in all situations.

If you are a reader, you might want to carry a book to read in your spare time. If not, that's also ok.

ANYTHING ELSE

All schools are different and they all have different rules and requirements. These were just some of the I would recommend having in schools to always be prepared. If you need anything else I haven't mentioned, make sure to get that too. Of course, you should always follow your school's rules and requirements, because you don't want to get in trouble.

I hope this helped, thanks for readingšŸ«¶, bye!
